Maryland-based crossover thrash Metal quintet Ninth Realm will release debut full-length album A Fate Unbroken November 4 on Mercenary Press. The album is a perfect blend of of crossover thrash and traditional heavy metal that represents the band's refined vision. "Plea to the Heavens," the album's first single, is streaming now at:
A Fate Unbroken is a nine-track album that takes the influence of the widest range of heavy metal, 80s-toned thrash, death thrash, and hardcore that the decisive genres have to offer. Not only do the riffs, consistent guitar solos, and blackened vocals take the listener through a whirlwind of Slayer / Demolition Hammer era thrash metal, but the lyricism and quintessential raw fantasy style of their art and themes harken back to a Frank Frazetta / Ralph Bakshi age of pure Sword & Sorcery. A Fate Unbroken, for all intents and purposes, is a Maryland band’s attempt to bring a reunion of heavy metal and hardcore punk back to its raw, old-school roots. Basing their lyricism and overall theme around the original fantasy realm of Tythorin, Ninth Realm delivers an electrifying synthesis of traditional heavy metal and hardcore punk for fans of both respective genres to enjoy. Pulling from a range of influences that span everything between blackened thrash to old-school death metal, the music of Ninth Realm rips and tears with a ferocity and cadence that perfectly encapsulates the epic scale and grisly atmosphere of grim-dark fantasy. Between the use of aggressive thrash d-beat and viscerally direct song structure of classic metal acts such as Celtic Frost, combined with the melodic riffage of classic bands like Testament / Mercyful Fate, and an added twist of Cro-Mags / Leeway style crossover, Ninth Realm wields what is perhaps one of the most poignant new sounds to emerge from the metal underground in recent memory. Sharing a bon d for all things heavy metal and high fantasy, college classmates Joey Burke (drummer) and Liam McMahon (lead guitarist) joined forces in the fall of 2018, writing and practicing every week to produce the 2019 demo, Gates of Tythorin. Later adding Jared Henry (bassist) and Ben Hageage (vocalist) to the mix, Ninth Realm solidified their sound with their succeeding 2020 EP, All Hail Treachery. In 2022, to offer a glimpse at what is to come with their debut LP, Ninth Realm released Ondreis MMXXII, a promo tape featuring two songs that both share a track space on the debut full-length record.

Iraqi thrash metallers Dark Phantom unveil their new single and lyric video "Courtship Of Death". Dark Phantom’s idea began in Kirkuk, Iraq late in 2007. The impression was to reach their dreams in western music, to express the inferior circumstances in the city, and explain it to the universe. But things weren’t able to progress due to the bad situation in Iraq, that led to postponement of forward progress and a period of hibernation, for their safety. In 2008, the band was able to start up again and started rehearsal despite all the dangers. In 2009, the band managed to have a birth of their own music, by starting to write the first songs after many months in rehearsal. In 2011, the band played their first concert in the city of Kirkuk and It was unforeseen. Under the same circumstances (volatile aggression, anti-metal music “laws”, etc.) a crowd came to see them and news of event rocked the small city. After a lot of demand from the fans on the band's Facebook page for a second concert, in 2011 Dark Phantom was ready, but there was another situation that made it impossible. Terror groups and their allies began threatening to close all the of band's pages on the internet and the band was also warned, again to stop their activities, or else. And in a short time, they made their 1st original Album “Nation of Dogs”, which in the band’s and their fan’s eye was a complete success. Now they release their new single titled “Courtship Of Death” https://www.facebook.com/metalbandIraq/ https://www.instagram.com/dark_phantom_band https://darkphantom.bandcamp.com/ https://www.youtube.com/user/666darkphantom666 "You Will Fear My Hate" is a track taken from Condemned AD's upcoming album “Follow a Failing Leader”, due for release on September 23rd, 2022 via Wormholedeath worldwide. Hailing from Hammarö, Värmland in Sweden, thrash metal outfit Condemned-AD is forging a new future after a dark past. Active in the Swedish metal scene in the early 90s, Condemned-AD’s sound was formed amidst a characteristic brutal wave of metal. Influenced by the likes of Motörhead, Megadeth, Venom, Tankard, and Slayer, Condemned-AD writes music about personal experiences of depression, the problem of human stupidity as expressed through today’s social media, and the struggles we all face despite our shared fate of death and decay. The band has released three EPs—“Until Death ends It All” (2016), “Will I Cheat Death One More Day” (2017), and “Time Waits For No One” (2018). In this new album “Follow a Failing Leader” the lyrics reflect the harsh reality through the eyes of us as a band today but also cover a dark past. We are a Thrash-Metal band with influences from all decades and styles in Thrash metal music. Band line up in the studio on this album:
It's official! Bulgarian thrash metallers Mosh-Pit Justice have signed with Punishment 18 Records for their new sixth full-length album "Crush the Demons Inside", which is expected to be released later this year. This will be the second full-length under the label's wing following the previous one released in 2019, "Fighting The Poison". New information will follow soon. Brisbane thrash metal titans Asylum have released their second single "Sadistic Intent" from their upcoming album due to be released on the 2nd of September 2022. ‘Sadistic Intent’ challenges one of humanities most horrific crimes. Based on the brutality of human trafficking, ‘Sadistic Intent’ musically portrays this as being one of the most intense songs on the ‘Tyrannicide’ album while lyrically depicting the lives of the victims. Lead Guitarist Rob Armstrong comments: "‘Sadistic Intent’ delivers on all fronts, its aggressive and in your face but also tackles a very dark part of the human race. Personally, I have always felt that we live in a false sense of safety and this song for me describes what could be lurking around the corner. Musically its dark, intense and melodic – it definitely contains some of my favourite riffs!" Check out the single at
Asylum is a thrash metal band from Brisbane Australia. Since forming in 2012, Asylum has quickly established itself as one of Australia’s hardest working thrash metal bands. The band has released two EPs, "Slaughterhouse" (2013) and "Concealed Death" (2016) which have captivated thrash metal fans locally and overseas. They released a live EP "Live In Melbourne" (2021), but ultimately they have been super hard at work to release their long awaited debut album "Tyrannicide" in 2022. Asylum's live shows have been described by critics as energetic, engaging and musically flawless. The band have toured regularly around Australia performing at Australia's annual festivals such as LEGIONS OF STEEL (VIC), AUSOCAPLYPSE (VIC), STORMRIDER (WA), SHREDFEST (QLD), STEEL ASSASSINS (NSW), NEW DEAD FEST (SA), CHURCHES OF STEEL (SA) and BODIES ON BODIES (SA). Over the years, Asylum has supported international touring bands such as ACCEPT, DESTRUCTION, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, VOIVOD, TANKARD, GEOFF TATE, ANVIL, ANGELUS APATRIDA, METAL CHIRCH, ARTILLERY, LICH KING, GIRLSCHOOL, TANK AND RAVEN. In 2017, Asylum embarked on their first international venture, performing at Japans annual TRUE THRASHFEST, alongside DARKNESS (GER), S.D.I (DER) and DEFILED (JPN). Shane Robins - Vocals & Rhythm Guitar Rob Armstrong - Lead & Clean Guitar Levi Damiris - Drums https://www.facebook.com/asylumthrash Lebanese thrash / groove metal titans Phenomy have unleashed their blistering new album 'Syndicate Of Pain', out March 3rd 2022, along with harrowing animation video 'Lead Me To My Throne'. 'Syndicate Of Pain' is a concept album about an asylum ran by Dr Anton Shuman, a mad scientist that is manipulating criminals and patients labelled insane in his facility. The album later reveals that these patients are not being cured, but are part of a bigger and darker project, that even Dr Schuman himself is being deceived by. In the album is included the single “When The Darkness Comes” Dr Shuman: "First it was the experiments, then there was the knowledge and then came the power of possession and manipulation. It felt godly to be able to create and destroy lives and matter. It became addictive, the greed feeds of the soul of men and vanity makes them feel flawless. At some point we feel in control and indestructible until we realize we are just a fragile pile of dust roaming in the devil's den. And you took advantage of that, you knew that this is what would keep me going and you were just sitting there watching me dance like a puppet in your hands. Doing all the tricks and then taraaa voila, you earned it all" Website: www.phenomyofficial.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/phenomyofficial Instagram: www.instagram.com/phenomyofficial Twitter: www.twitter.com/phenomyofficial YouTube: www.youtube.com/phenomy Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2oeDZHOGoxpg1kOq39JrL5 Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/artist/phenomy/1351261592 SoundCloud: http://www.soundcloud.com/phenomyofficial The Brazilian melodic death / thrash metal band Sophie's Threat was formed in 2021 in Sao Paulo by musicians Tiago Carteano (drums) and Ricardo Oliveira (guitar). Baptized with this name as a reference to Robot Sophia, the first humanoid robot to receive citizenship from a country, in this case Saudi Arabia, developed by Hanson Robotics, in Hong Kong, capable of reproducing 62 facial expressions and designed to learn, work among humans, and adapt to our behaviours. When asked in an interview if it would destroy humanity, it surprised everyone by saying 'yes'! From this concept came the idea for the band's name, a way its members found to criticize how fast technological growth can destroy its creator without thinking about its consequences. Boasting a bombastic sound, vibrant and striking riffs, bold lyrics that face the present day and a competent mix between Thrash and Melodic Death Metal, the band unleashes a lot of efficiency, seriousness and quality in their first official record, the single "Infernal Manipulation".
There is a whole story behind the composition of "Infernal Manipulation", a song that originally belonged to an old band that Paulo R. “Satan” (current bassist) and Ricardo Oliveira (guitarist) used to have. After the death of their drummer the band disbanded and Ricardo brought it to Sophie's Threat, where it was all reworked, enhanced, having different lyrics and title. Unfortunately, right after the release of "Infernal Manipulation", the band suffered severe line-up changes with the departure of singer Bruna Mieko and bassist Wagner Wilis, but now as a stabilized band with new members Paulo R. "Satan" (bass), Marcao (guitar) and singer Malu Sales, the band's sound is back to being even more powerful, brutal and impactful as imagined by its founders! "With "Infernal Manipulation", we intend to show how much people today are manipulated through technology and slaves of social networks where the world is 'perfect and happy', however outside this virtual sphere their lives are doomed and unhappy. Behind the pretty pictures, expensive trips and a thousand perks, the story is completely different. We need to stick to this so that our lives don't become empty and liars", commented Tiago Carteano (drums). "It's a direct and heavy sound! I really like the issue of how this prostitution for likes and followers that these 'influencers' do today through ridiculous, lame, shameful, and degrading content that unfortunately also attracts people with an empty mentality. Finally, it's a sound note 10 for me", said Ricardo Oliveira (guitar). The band is current producing a new single called "Suicidal God", also with producer Michel Villares, using subject of lyrics how society creates its own monsters, and they always come back to punish us. The basis for this topic was the story of the schizophrenic psychopath and serial killer Joseph Kallinger, who murdered three people including one of his children and tortured four other families, was used. "We used excerpts from a real interview of the criminal in the opening and ending part of the song, and in this interview he, a schizophrenic, talks about voices in his head telling him to kill three million other people, his family, and then kill himself to become a god. That's why we gave the title "Suicidal God" to the single", concluded Tiago. Current Line-Up:
Algebra have become one of the most reliable machines in metaldom over the course of their 14 years of existence. Like the famous Swiss watches, their music is clockwork-precise. Several overlapping schools of classic thrash coexist in their songs, with the heaviness and directness of the classic Bay Area bands somehow not crowding out the weirder, progressive flourishes of countrymates Coroner or even modern, post-1992 extreme metal influences, a la latter-day Megadeth, perhaps. It all comes together into a pummelling, yet controlled, behemoth of a band without visible seams on its stainless steel outer shell. Their release schedule has been almost as reliable as their riffs, with prior full-length albums Polymorph in 2012, Feed the Ego in 2014, and Pulse? in 2019. The latter two were their first outings for Unspeakable Axe Records, who is now proud to unleash their fourth album. Titled Chiroptera--with a suitably spooky bat painted on its cover, courtesy of the talented Adam Burke--this may be Algebra's most advanced offering yet, without departing too greatly from the style they have been refining up till now. In order to purge the demons, bringing to light all the revolt that surround us, exposing the naked truth, the band Makunaybah appears. Founded in November 2021, in Curitiba/Brazil, the band brings an aggressive sound that flows from Groove/Thrash, with hints of modern Metal, influenced by the culture and history of our people, the Brazilian roots. Makuna was one of the indigenous peoples that most bravely reacted against European colonization in Brazil, and Aiba, also, an indigenous word that means bad, bad thing, that is, it translates a lot of the themes that will be addressed in our songs. With the first single ready and about to be released, this quartet from Paraná, comes with a lot of revolt and brutality, this is Makunaybah. This brutal single, with fast lines and grooved riffs, inspired by Brazilian metal, brings the essence of Brazilian culture. With an art inspired by indigenous warriors, who resisted and died fighting Portuguese colonization, defending their lands and traditions, this single has roots, revolt and resistance. The new single is available on all streaming platforms by the Latin American label Electric Funeral Records.
